The stories are endless, but the most recent one is from this past weekend. Linn is a 35 year old loser who moved into his sister's house because he's a pile of crap and no one wants to live with him. Linn's sister is my boyfriend's mom and we live in the house with her. So all was well with her and us in the house, living as a normal family until Linn guilt tripped her into letting him move in. CRYING for days straight, yes really crying at 35, for days! So reluctantly agreed and our live has been a living hell since.
The past weekend at 12am he accused our neighbor behind us of knocking on his window and then jumping the fence (our neighbor is 50+ and can't jump a 6 foot fence!!). So Linn called the police about this window knocking, and also said that this old man placed a $5 bill around his phone, as if to say thanks for letting me look at your pictures. The things that are wrong with this. The neighbor is 50+ and can't jump a fence, he and his family were out of town, and there is a screen on the window to his room. So it's impossible for any of that insane story to be true. We think he's just INSANE! The cops obviously didn't do anything because hes crazy. So.. after we told him that's impossible you retard. He started blaming it on us. So now we are trying to come up with ways to screw with him and make his life hell and make him move out. Because my boyfriend's mom won't kick him out, God only knows why.

My roommate left 5 bags of trash outside our ground floor apartment during spring break. I came back to find that wild animals had ripped the bags to shreds and there was rotting food and trash all over the walkway of our apartment and the ones around us. After i told her she couldn't do this (we had to drive the trash to a dumpster elsewhere in the complex), she started piling trash bags up next to the front door, on the inside. I'd take some of them out, she'd never take any. Eventually someone complained about the smell coming from our apartment (because she had accumulated 7 bags of trash) so I took all the trash to the dumpster, despite it not being mine. i told her this was not fair to me and that she had to do her part in taking the trash out. She said she was sorry and cleaned the kitchen, cleaning out the fridge and filling a garbage bag with old food. Instead of taking that bag to the dumpster, she put it on the porch outside. i was on the porch the other day and noticed the bag because it was moving. There were hundreds of MAGGOTS living inside. she's currently out of town,so there's no one to take the maggot bag away. Because i'm sure not doing it!

My roommate sophomore year was a complete moron. He wouldn't talk for the first couple of weeks of the fall semester, leaving only to go to fraternity events. Then, when he finally has something to contribute, it's a 20 minute rant about his girlfriend, who he had long conversations with around 3 am. He had all kinds of whackjob conspiracy theories ranging from 9/11 to a shadow government that runs basically every country on the planet to global warming being a trick to try to get the US to become a communist regime. On top of it all, the day I'm supposed to be moving out he stumbles in at 2 am muttering that he's going to kill himself so my girlfriend and I sat up with him until he passed out around 5. We were up at 8 because that was the only time I could move out. Also, the dude never cleaned the bathroom or our dorm once.

Whenever I'd wake up for class before my roommate, I'd always be as quiet as possible. Unfortunately, usually my roommate was the one with 8 am classes who'd be up first. Every morning she'd make breakfast in the microphone, and the beeping would wake me up. She'd also always call her friend at 7 am, but the only spot in our room that would get service was right next to my bed. Also, her friend never seemed to be able to hear my roommate, so she'd have to scream into the phone. And finally, every single morning my roommate would take crinkly plastic bags and shake them for several minutes straight. Don't ask me why she did this. i just know that it was the most annoying sound I've ever woken up to.

I used to have a roommate who would ask me permission to do anything. At the beginning of the semester she bought a fridge for the two of us to share, but she always asked my permission to put her food in it. It was her own refrigerator! She'd also ask my permission to eat breakfast, to make tea, and to eat take-out.
Also, after living in our room for a few months, I bought a huge rug that covered up the whole entire floor of our dorm room. She asked my permission to walk on it.

I've had problems with more than one roommate, but the strangest was the one that I had last year. She and her boyfriend were always together and he wouldn't leave our room until 1 or 2am, usually hours after I had already gone to bed. They would fight all the time, but it seemed like their fighting happened while I was sleeping most of the time. She was also very messy. I'm not very organized, but my mess is made up of books & paper, hers was trash & dirty clothes. I lived on the side of the room that was opposite the door & everyday I would have to walk through all her stuff. The thing that bothered me the most, though, was her stuffed animals. I have stuffed animals, too, but I don't do anything with them, they just sit on my shelf. She, however, would bring her stuffed animals everywhere & talk to them. Yes, talk to them. Her boyfriend did it, too. The stuffed animals were their "children." They'd talk to the "kids" & then they would both talk in baby voices & pretend that the stuffed animals were talking back. They would also have the kids scream & cry & then they would punish them. Whenever I told people who my roommate was, they would ask "Is she the one that carries stuffed animals around?"
Many people asked me why I didn't move out. I didn't want to go through the hassle. I did have a talk with her and our RA about all the things that bothered me. She said that she would try to keep her side of the room clean, but she got really angry when I told her that the whole stuffed animal thing was annoying & kind of freaked me out. She told me that it was part of who she is & that she can't stop doing it. Then, she said that I shouldn't be annoyed by it because she & her boyfriend are making cartoon voices & I like to watch cartoons. When I said that I don't watch cartoons when I'm doing homework or sleeping, she glared at me & said that all my knick knacks & things annoy her. I'm not sure how my stuff could have annoyed her, she was always sitting at her desk with her back towards my side of the room. I was extremely happy when the end of the year came around.

The roommate I had freshman year was terrified of everyone, including all of the other people on our floor. She insisted that we keep our room door locked at all times, except for when one of us was going in or out of course. And if anyone ever knocked, including an RA, she's pretend that she wasn't home. Because of this I never got to know a single person on our floor.
Now, 2 years later, I found out that she's currently dating a guy who lived a few doors down. One of the people she'd been so terrified of.

Someone I roomed with while in the military would go out drinking and come back to the barracks room well after midnight. He had the good sense not to switch on the overhead light, which might have resulted in a fistfight--or at least a valid complaint to the master-at-arms, who kept order. But what he’d do instead was turn on the lamp by my bed. The trouble was, it was my lamp. Something about being woken up repeatedly with a light I’d voluntarily brought in made me realize further measures were necessary.
Taking the lamp back home wasn’t an option I considered; I should suffer for his bad habits? The first night I unscrewed the bulb a few turns. Late that night he stumbled in, walked right over to the lamp and swore when it didn’t come on. He reached up and, realizing the bulb was loose, tightened it. And turned on the lamp.
I suppose the gloves came off next, because he had a bigger problem the next night. Again he tried to switch on my lamp, to no avail. Again he reached up to check the bulb. Which happened to be gone.
How was I to know he’d stick his stupid finger into the light socket?
He wasn’t there much longer, as we were both in a training school and by that point he was in his last week. Those last couple of days, I slept very well.

My roommate likes to be the center of attention. This works out well for me usually because I like to just sit back and enjoy her making a fool out of herself. One day when I was trying to tell her a story about an event of my day, she interrupted me, so I interrupted her to finish my story first. Screaming at me because I interrupted her story, she threw her toothpaste at me. Don't know how I ended up bleeding after that point, all I know is that I went to the bathroom to first aid it and she locked me out of our room for that night. I didn't really want to be near her for a little bit, so I didn't mind it.

My current roommate is a moron. The dude I think was babied all his life. He never takes the trash out, he loads dirty dishes in to a dishwasher with clean dishes (and doesn't understand the issue there), never has vacuumed or swept in a year and a half, never cleaned his side of the sink counter, puts empty bottles and other trash on the table instead of either changing the trash bag or just putting it in the trash when its empty. Now the kicker, our ac/heating system was built poorly so my room gets very hot (80° with the doors open and fan on) in the winter, and cold in the summer (i can deal with cold). So at night I turn the heater off during the winter and my roommate has a space heater. In the mornings though my roommate thinks its a good idea to turn the heat up from 71° for 75° (it dips down to 65-69° by the morning in the winter inside), the emergency heat kicks on and my room get up to 90° but the rest of the apt does not heat up any faster.
Now his friend is crashing here but our lease says the kid cannot stay more than 7 days and it's over that now. To top it off, he had said he was leaving at the end of this lease year but now changed his mind.

Freshman year I lived with a total stoner. I dont have issues with stoners, but this kid was excessive. After a few weeks he started coming in between 12 - 9 am, as the semester went on it got later and later. He always came in drunk/stoned. He stopped using his closet and just piled his clothes on the floor (clean and dirty). He never cleaned anything, and took the trash out maybe 2 times. The best part of all of this, he would set an alarm and then keep hitting snooze for 2-5 hours every day.

My roommate and I split up the cleaning--I would do the bathroom and she would do the floors. I thought that this would work out well, until one day I saw her method of cleaning the floor. She would take a small section of masking tape and crawl all over the floor, sticking the tape down once in awhile to pick up any loose dust and hairs. And then when I'd try to mop up everything that she'd missed, she got offended and insisted that I leave the floor cleaning to her.
